Cam Blackley has over 20 years’ experience of outstanding work at leading international creative shops including 8 years at Droga5 New York and Sydney, Publicis London, AMV BBDO, Grey, BMF; M&C Saatchi Australia and has recently founded a creative office Bureau of Everything.
Cam has partnered clients and guided award-winning creative on local and global brands spanning Department of Education New York, Big W, Aldi Supermarkets, Carlton United Breweries, British Telecom, Snickers, Mars, Tourism Australia, Tiger Beer, Sportsbet to name a few.
He values a great idea brought to life by brilliantly simple writing above all else. He believes and champions the notion that a script is your worst case scenario in the creative process (so it better be impressive) and he insists on flexibility (+ mischief) during execution to unlock unexpected magic.
Cam has been awarded hundreds of times at international awards including D&AD Black and Cannes Titanium, also D&AD Yellow, Cannes Lions, Grand Clios and most recently won The One Show Green Pencil for Environmental impact.
Cam is also a champion of creativity to the wider industry and stepped down as Chair of The Australian Writers and Art Directors organisation (AWARD) October 2023. As Chair he lead an overhaul of the brand identity, judging criteria, education, inclusion & diversity initiatives and the award show. Growing the reputation and scope of AWARD through his relentless advocacy and reach through the international community. He also created a three day festival This Way Up, a celebration of ideas which has attracted the cream of international speakers. Cam is no stranger to the stage himself, and spoke this year at SxSW in Austin.
Above all else, Cam is a Dad. With an incredible and patient wife + two pretty great teenagers. He lives and works on Gadigal Land (aka Sydney), Australia.
