As an ex agency person of 23 years I’ve worked up close with a range of creative directors and without fail the very best of them have always managed to find the sweet spot of balancing super ideas with commerciality. During that time I’ve only experienced two CD’s that have operated in that space (creating world class ideas that drive scalable business outcomes). Cam is one of them.
Lots have tried, but very few ever really make it to those lofty heights. He has the proof…I know what our results are telling us and I imagine clients like Aldi and FFA are pretty chuffed also.
So he’s a rare beast.
In our time working together he has managed to influence our business across several areas. By creating pure entertainment for our customers, but also how we think about creative internally…how we think about our ambitions and how we go to market. Throughout that time he’s garnered a heap of trust and it’s the kind of trust that results in great work like our recent Ben Johnson Android campaign.
Aside from all this palaver, he’s just a good man to be around. He makes it fun and we’re certainly a better business for the experience.

Every now and then you chance upon someone who is wildly talented and yet deeply humble. Possibly how adventurers felt discovering the Narwhal in the 1700’s. That’s how I felt when when gifted the chance to work with Cameron some years ago. It’s why I keep trying to find ways to work with him again. Because it feels nice. And creative. And effective.
